Dean Phillips in New Hampshire: Authentic and Real, Up Close and Personal
I’d never been to New Hampshire during the presidential primary season. Today, The Moderate Democrat drove three hours to the Granite State to meet this blog’s endorsed candidate, Dean Phillips.
I had a joyous, hopeful, and wonderful time today meeting Dean Phillips and attending the rally for the candidate at his open house in the New Hampshire state headquarters in Manchester.
Representative Phillips up close and personal — and while speaking to a crowd of 100 people — is exactly as he projects on television. So easy to listen to and talk with. Authentic. Knowledgeable. Wise. Compassionate. Human. Likable.
I also met several staff directors. They were pros but not that fake Washington arrogance. (The same is true of Phillips.)
I was also interviewed for about six minutes by a CBS News crew out of Washington. Perhaps I’ll wind up in a CBS story about Dean.
Several New Hampshire elected leaders endorsed Phillips during the rally
I plan to return to New Hampshire soon. This is good political work! The future of our country is at stake. And Dean Phillips is the candidate America wants. The nation just has to meet him.
